This oil pump cover was a bear, both to get the original screws out and to bring the cover up to the condition you see here. The impact driver got 2 screws loose, but the last one (there's ALWAYS one of those!) was stuck tight. I had to use a chisel on the screwhead to finally break it free. Deep scratches and gouges were present on the cover, so I draw-filed the whole cover, sanded, and buffed lightly. I found some SS panhead screws at Ace, so I bought 3 in a longer length, chucked them in the lathe and made countersunk screws from them and finally cut off to length.
